Recap: In a much improved race, which was at a time when the conference championships were supposed to be held, the Chaminade cross-country team ran very well.  Highlighting the meet was the first win for the season for Jeff Lim in 27:11.  He ran with the top two BYUH runners until the last mile and opened enough room to pull out a 16 second gap on his next competitor.  The men's team performed well but faded a bit too much after 3 miles and barely missing the team win with a score of BYUH-26 to Chaminade-29.  On the women's side, our top two women went out with BYUH's number two runner & ran strong throughout the race.  Leilani Kaluhiokalani-Myers came in with a strong kick to grab third place in a PR of 19:58.  Elizabeth Texeira came in seconds back at 20:04 and Denise Anders ran a strong last mile to finish in 20:49.  The whole team looks ready and getting fast at the right time as we battle the West in the regional championship race two weeks away.
